As promised, here are some pictures from last weekend:
The Sydney Harbour Bridge at night.
The Opera House, with the "sails" lit up for the lightshow (this only happens once a year).
I think this was the Parliament building?
The show was honoring the Macquaries, the first governor of New South Wales and his wife. They are pretty important historical figures -- they really shaped the face of the new country with their policies, humanitarian acts, and social justics programs.
One of the light up performers along the way.
St. Mary's church. It was pretty spectacular.
The Opera house from the harbor, in the day.
Finally, proof that I'm actually in Sydney! That's me, with the opera house and the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background.
