Fun at the Movies

Here's a fun meme I stole from Robyn:

  • Pick 15 of your favorite movies (I picked 10 because I don't have 15 readers. And I'm lazy.)
  • Go to IMDB and find a quote from each movie
  • Post them here for everyone to guess
  • Strike it out when someone guesses correctly in the comments, and put in who guessed it and the movie.
  • No Googling, IMDB or otherwise searching online- just pure memory!
(um, p.s. these are uncensored quotes)

1. I like to see a man of advancing years throwing caution to the wind. It's inspiring in a way.

2. I understand you're a man who knows how to get things.

3. We've become a race of Peeping Toms. What people ought to do is get outside their own house and look in for a change. Yes sir. How's that for a bit of homespun philosophy?

4. All the animals come out at night - whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets. -- Taxi Driver, Yay Ethan!

5. It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van. -- A Clockwork Orange, Yay alphamonkey!

6. Welcome the rich man, he's hard for you to miss. His butt keeps getting bigger, so there's plenty there to kiss!

7. She's not my special lady, she's my fucking lady friend. I'm just helping her conceive. -- The Big Lebowski, Yay Ethan again!

8. Well-well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people? -- Office Space, Yay Henna!

9. ...and then, Dr. Vornoff falls into the pit, and his own octupus attacks and eats him. The end. -- Ed Wood, and Ethan makes it a hat trick!

10. Look, are you and Cosmo in on this together? Because every time I see you, you seem to go out of your way to make me feel like a COMPLETE idiot. And you really needn't bother: I already feel like an idiot most of the time anyway - with, or without the fireman's pole. -- Bridget Jones' Diary, Yay Robyn!

FYI -- some of the movies you had are also my favorites, but I didn't want to pick anything you'd already done.
