No, really, guess!

Well, I lied when I said it wouldn't get above freezing for another 4 months. Looks like we're going to have a big warm up for the next week or so, which means 30s during the day and 20s at night. In spite of my previous complaints, I'm not altogether happy about this because it's going to get messy. We have a lot of snow and all the drains are covered with ice right now. So that means there will be lots of gray lakes lying around in parking lots and such. It wouldn't be quite as annoying if it actually were April, because then I would know that this was The End of winter. But it's not, and it's going to get cold and refreeze, and just in general be bad for a while.

Enough complaining. Guess what I did? Guess! Okay, you didn't guess. I actually cleaned out the den! Remember, that was on my list of goals? I can tell you're not really impressed. But I am so happy because this was weighing heavily on my heart and mind. Now I can actually go in there without stepping over a box full of mail! And I can scoot my chair back from the desk without running into boxes of things left over from the wedding! Oh happy day!

Guess what else (and this actually is big news)? E and I planned our honeymoon, and more importantly, bought the tickets, for NEW ZEALAND!!!!! I am so excited about this! It is going to cost us a fortune, but after being apart for a year and half and having to deal with all this deployment crap, I think it's worth it. I can't wait. I have 9 months to plan all the fun stuff we're going to do (don't worry, I'm talking G rated....here at least). :)

So that's it for now. Nothing real exciting (I've been too busy cleaning up the den), but I am planning to go out with a girlfriend on Saturday night and I am looking forward to some social time. Gawd, I need to get out!

Serves you right for bitching about the cold weather! Slush sucks. Slush...sucks. I heard once that if you say that 5 times really fast in front of the mirror in the bathroom with the lights turned off and Gray blindfolded, Jack Frost will appear and make the slush go away. He will replace it with sheets of black ice and maniac drivers from Wasilla, though, so you better be careful what you wish for.

Thanks Henna! It certainly picks up my spirits to think that I will be spending the beginning of next winter in the warmth of summer. :)

EAF -- I can't believe you are actually suggesting I put a blindfold on Gray. Are you trying to kill me here? Or are you hoping I might kill Gray?

Then again, you missed the Fun With Antibiotics.
