New haircut (for henna)

So, here is my new haircut, with bangs.

I tried to find a good picture of my old haircut, but do you know how hard it is to find a picture of yourself when you're the only one who takes photos?

Regardless, I'm not sure how I feel about the bangs. Here's a +/- list, which lj'ers seem to love:

+ it's a change
- it looks less "young and fashionable" and more "young country mom"
+ my old haircut was starting to look a little like "fat 60's girl"
- I actually have to do something with the bangs
+ it doesn't take that much time
- my hat smashes them flat anyway, so I don't know why I bother
- they are already growing too long and get in my way
- they make me hot when I work out, so I have to pin them back

The good thing is, I have gotten a few compliments, but not so many that I feel obligated to keep them. When I started growing my hair out, everyone made such a big deal out of it that I started to feel like maybe I was really unattractive with short hair. I mean seriously, people made a really big deal out of my long hair.

So, I guess I'll trim the bangs, try to live with them for a while (maybe through next summer, when the hat issue goes away), and if I still am not enamored, just grow them out.

I might post once more before I leave, I don't know. I'm using blogging as an avoidance technique for my homework, but I have to do that at some point, so I'm thinking the blogging will stop (must! exercise! self! control!). Anyway, we won't have the computer on the trip, so no pics from NZ, but I will post when I get back.

P.S. Oh yeah, I forgot: this past week was the 1 year anniversary (date) of when Ethan arrived home (the day was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving). So he's been home for a year! Yay! Seriously, it's been one of the best years of my life. I love you honey!

I think it looks cute. It would look really good (and not country mom) with a funky print, thin bandana... sorta like Betty bangs, but not quite so... trendy. Ya know?

So, a bandanna folded over like a headband, or a bandanna unfolded like a biker chick?

I think it looks good. I get bangs every 3 years or so, love them and then hate them and then grow them out.

Have a great trip. I want to see pictures!
