Hack Job

Ethan asked me to cut his hair, for the first time ever.

We had a slight miscommunication on which clipper attachment I should start out with (i.e., how close I should cut it).

As a result, it was very difficult to "fade" the haircut.

He solved it by going back to his military days.

Now I am married to a serial killer.

Ha! Yay for hair and its ability to regenerate. :)

Is a serial killer worse than an axe murderer? Perhaps you two should produce a funny movie. Cheer up Louise - at least he's not likely to make that request twice. Ethan, I'm always amazed at how quickly hair grows back necessitating another trip to the "haircut store."

I think it looks good? maybe buzz up the nape of the neck. I cut my hair with buzzers as well, it's tricky.

what do they think of short haircuts in Au? In this country it's either long hair or "shaved" it seems

Good job. Any prison or military recruiter would be proud to hire you. You could post those pictures on the US Post Offices walls.

Well, we're not too depressed about it. We figured it might be less than successful the first go round, and as craftosaurus said, it will regenerate. Ethan is willing to let me try again when it gets long enough. We're not trying a home cut on *my* hair, though.

Anon, it seems like I see a fair number of short cuts at the beach. Also at the office, although we are a bunch of weather geeks.

Anon #2 -- thanks for the compliment, although there was way too much giggling and not enough yelling for me to be either a prison guard or a military recruiter. ;)

Crash, the pictures didn't do it justice. He had this weird "hat" of hair that didn't want to lie down properly. It probably would have been okay if I hadn't started out with a #2.

Ha! I don't think it looks to bad!

I have been cutting D's hair and all 3 of my bros hair for 10+ years. Most of them use a 3 or 4 for the back and sides. Then I hand cut the top and blend it in.

Lynn, that was the idea. Hopefully it works out a bit better next time!

He might be a serial killer, or at least look like one, but he's a dreamy serial killer. Brenda (no it's scott)
