Wuv, Twoo Wuv

So I have been up to a lot of stuff lately that does not involve gardening or environmentalism, and I thought I would post some of my other activities to show you that I am indeed a well-rounded individual.

Two weeks ago, my friends got married, and I got to be the officiant! In Alaska, anyone can be a wedding officiant, if you get a special one-day dispensation. So Dale and Qian decided to get married on Monday, asked me to be an officiant on Wednesday, and Friday we drove down to the Eagle River Nature Center and had a wedding!

It was really neat, and I feel so honored that they asked me to officiate. Ethan got to be a witness, and the lady who introduced them was also a witness. The Nature Center was closed, so there was almost no one around, except for one group of hikers who came through after the wedding was over.

The wedding. And no, I did not say "Mawiage!"

I'm really happy for them, and wish them as much happiness as Ethan and I have had.

Oh, yay, how lovely!

(Also, if I'd been in your situation, I would've had a VERY tough time refraining from looking at Ethan and exclaiming "can I get a witness?!" I assume you didn't do so, and for this I applaud you. :))

You know, I never even thought of that! Which is pretty much the only reason I didn't actually do it.
