Let's All Go Out to the Movies

So, on the American Film Institute's list of 100 Greatest Movies, I've seen 53 of them. That's pretty good, considering that many people my age have never even heard of Double Indemnity or The Searchers. But I've decided, that before E comes home, I want to have seen all 100 movies. That includes 2 or 3 that I've seen before but have trouble remembering and should really watch again.

Of course, this list is totally arbitrary. It doesn't have some really great movies on there, like The Great Escape for example. Also, I need to watch some movies that have a lot of social references like Deliverance, and Dumb and Dumber, and some with personal interest, like Plan 9 From Outer Space.

Anyway, this gives me a good place to start when thinking about movies to watch in the coming year, which I will certainly do a lot of.

I'm going to start tonight. First on the list: All About Eve, starring Bette Davis and Anne Baxter. Bonus: Marilyn Monroe has a smaller part.

This should be interesting.
